In honor of Women’s Equality Day, the San Diego History Center presents America at 250: Women and American Democracy, an evening exploring the enduring impact of women on civic life and democratic participation in the United States.

Part of the History Center’s America 250 commemoration, the program features a panel discussion moderated by award-winning journalist Sandra Maas, with community leaders and advocates including Gail Friedt, Dr. Amy Nantkes, Jane Andrews, and Dr. Kimala Price. Together, they will examine how women’s leadership has expanded opportunity, advanced civic engagement, and helped shape a more representative democracy while commemorating the certification of the 19th Amendment.
