A Starlight Swing

Save Starlight will host A Starlight Swing, a lively big band fundraiser supporting efforts to restore and reopen the historic Starlight Bowl amphitheater in Balboa Park, the beloved 4,000-seat venue that has been closed for several years.

The evening will feature legendary bandleader Pete Deluke and his Mellotones Orchestra, whose career includes performances alongside icons such as Benny Goodman and Buddy Rich, along with a special appearance by the Eastlake High School Swing Band. Guests will also enjoy classic swing dance demonstrations from local dance clubs, light bites from area restaurants, a no-host bar, and silent and live auctions. Proceeds benefit Save Starlight’s mission to revive this treasured performing arts venue and return it to the cultural life of San Diego.
