46th Annual Nice Guy of the Year Gala

The San Diego Nice Guys will honor Emmy Award-winning journalist Kimberly Hunt and the late former San Diego Chargers All-Pro linebacker, broadcaster, and philanthropist Billy Ray Smith Jr. as the 2026 Nice Guys of the Year during the organization’s 46th Annual Gala.

Recognized for their distinguished careers, unwavering integrity, and decades of service to the San Diego community, the husband-and-wife duo exemplify the organization’s mission of celebrating leadership, generosity, and compassion. Chaired by Neil O’Connell, the evening will feature longtime friend Scott Kaplan as master of ceremonies while raising funds to support local charities benefiting children, families, veterans, and individuals in need throughout San Diego County.
