Del Mar Village’s annual Taste of Del Mar event once again treated a sold-out crowd to dishes and drinks from dozens of area restaurants including Kitchen 1540, Pacifica Del Mar, Viewpoint Brewing Company, and many more. The Ranch & Coast team was on hand to collect votes for attendees’ favorite dishes and sips. This year’s Tastiest Taste award goes to Jake’s Del Mar, which served their Jumbo Lump Crabcake with pickled corn remoulade and shitake mushroom frisee salad. This year’s Superior Sip honor goes to Lorimar Winery, which poured its 2013 Cabernet Franc and 2017 Viognier. The Cabernet Franc offers aromas of violets, plums, leather, and cranberry, while the Viognier features elegant notes of ripe peaches and juicy pears.
