Nutritionists will verify that pears are a good source of dietary fiber, vitamin C, copper, and vitamin K. Vitamin C and copper are antioxidant nutrients that help protect cells in the body from oxygen-related damage due to free radicals. While it’s of course healthier to eat a fresh pear, drinking one might be a tad more festive. This month’s cocktail of the month is the Pear Martini from Arterra Restaurant at the San Diego Marriott Del Mar.
