San Diego’s iconic fireworks show, the Big Bay Boom, will once again light up the skies over San Diego Bay on the Fourth of July. The 20-minute show will start at 9pm, with fireworks visible from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Spanish Landing, North Embarcadero, South Embarcadero, Cesar E. Chavez Park, and Coronado Tidelands Park. Legoland’s Red, White and Boom!
The summer heats up at Legoland California Resort with a star-spangled Fourth of July celebration: Red, White and Boom! Throughout the day, kids of all ages can participate in all-American family picnic games and building activities. The evening fireworks show at 8:30pm combines patriotic music with dazzling pyrotechnics. Red, White and Boom! is included in the cost of regular park admission. LEGOLAND.com

The Inn’s BBQ Smoke Out
The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe offers its 4th of July BBQ Smoke Out, presented by Chef Jessie Lee Williams, Jr. The event takes place from 11am-2pm on the lower front lawns with menu highlights including BBQ Brisket Sandwich, BBQ Brisket Plate, Hot Dog, Beef Sliders, and Chef Jessie Lee’s Milk & Honey Cookie.
