Words Alive will feature Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Isabel Allende as the keynote speaker at the 12th annual Author’s Luncheon on November 30 at the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina. The New York Times and internationally bestselling author will discuss her new novel, The Japanese Lover. Published this fall, the multigenerational love story sweeps from San Francisco in the present day to Poland and the United States during World War II. UC San Diego’s Dean of Arts and Humanities Seth Lerer will present the conversation with Allende.
