Encinitas Wellness Week 2013

Published

The Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association will kick off its 3rd Annual Wellness Week with a large indoor/outdoor festival at the Encinitas Library on Saturday, January 19, from 10am–4pm.  This free event will feature dozens of exhibitors offering free mini-treatments (eacupuncture, massage, reflexology), free product samples, free health screenings, cooking demos, performances (Aikido, kids’ yoga, Zumba), and special activities for kids.

During the week that follows (through January 26), the public is invited to take advantage of numerous other free classes, treatments, consultations, and presentations, held at the library and at other participating organizations. These are all part of Wellness Week, a weeklong program of events and special offers that allows the community to learn about and experience ways to improve their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.  All events are open to the public and free of charge. Most will be held at the Encinitas Branch of the San Diego County Library.

Tri-City Medical Center is the lead sponsor of this year’s program, and experts will be on hand to offer a variety of free screenings and treatments at the opening day festival. They’ll also demonstrate their innovative Robotic Spine Surgery and Vitamin E Knee Replacement. (www.encinitas101.com)
