Symphony at Salk

The Salk Institute celebrates 20 years of Symphony at Salk on Saturday, August 29, with the San Diego Symphony led by Maestro Thomas Wilkins, and guest artists Chris Botti and John Pizzarelli. Since the release of his critically acclaimed CD, When I Fall In Love, Botti has become the largest-selling American instrumental artist. Jazz guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli has been hailed by the Boston Globe for “reinvigorating the Great American Songbook and re-popularizing jazz.” Tickets are $300 each. Proceeds support the institute’s wide-ranging scientific inquiries that have yielded a steady flow of life-changing discoveries.
