Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon

Helen Woodward Animal Center’s 9th Annual Surf Dog Surf-A-thon, held at Dog Beach in Del Mar, takes place Sunday, September 7, from 8am-2pm. More than 80 furry friends will surf in four different weight class competitions. This year, in addition to the “hang twenty” competition, local pups will partake in their very first stand up paddleboard parade, led by pet trainer and host of Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family Laura Nativo, along with her Pomeranian, Preston.
