Get ready for a ’40s flashback fashion fan fest with free entry to the Del Mar Race Track, free seating, free performances, free live music, and best of all — free pin-up-era hair and make-up styling from salon professionals assembled by Studio Savvy. Haute As Ever, taking place tomorrow, Saturday, August 24, is Del Mar’s second biggest fashion party of the summer. Styles from the 1940s will be celebrated by fans and by live pin-up models who will get their salon stylings from the Studio Savvy team. Complete with an Instagram shooting gallery, the event will also include professional photographers and a videographer to chronicle the incredible scene.

Haute As Ever promises to be a feast of fun The Studio Savvy team is built and led by the incredible master stylist, Deena Von Yokes, founder and co-owner of Studio Savvy Salon with locations in Rancho Santa Fe and Solana Beach. Von Yokes is also the owner-designer of Savvy Topsy’s. She is a master hair colorist, stylist and cosmetician. To top your lid, she designs topsies and hat fascinators, and she is a running sponsor of the annual hat contest on Opening Day at Del Mar.

What else could make this fashion event even better? How about fashion models wearing the renowned hat designer Christine Moore’s incredible hat designs, and having them paired with the hair and makeup of the Studio Savvy team? What a sight that will be.

Fashion loving attendees will be serviced for free by the professional Savvy hair stylists joined by Von Yokes. The hair team will also include the gifted and gorgeous group of Kassidy Byers, Tiffany Kelly, and Haley Vassar. These ladies know how to spin, curl, tease, shape, part ,and pixie styles for anyone and for every occasion.

As the hair chairs are in full frenzy, the team of makeup artists will be touching up faces  with matching ’40s fashion looks. The crisp lines and steady hands of San Diego’s finest cosmeticians will be in action as James Overstreet, Eileen Haligowski and Liz Eddy add their beautifying touches to the haute party goers.

Documenting it all will be Jody Pinchin, an extraordinary photographer/videographer with an innate talent for capturing spontaneous moments and magic moods. Meg Pasetta has a fabulous focus for posing and shooting gorgeous photos of women, including one of her specialties, 1940s pin-ups. The photo team is rounded out with the boldly vibrant and dynamic photo styles that are signatures of Cotch Diaz, who frames a scene with clever perspectives like no one else.
