San Diego Music Awards

Returning to Humphrey’s by the Bay on Monday, October 6, the 24th Annual San Diego Music Awards is an event not to be missed. Presented annually to artists and albums of exceptional merit, the awards consist of a total of 28 different categories, such as best cover band, best jazz, best singer/songwriter, best blues, best world music, and many more. This year’s event will feature live performances from some of San Diego’s best artists such as Tribal Theory, Todo Mundo, Robin Henkel Band with Horns featuring Whitney Shay, The Midnight Pine, Joshua White, Euphoria Brass band, and The Donkeys. Also, a Lifetime Achievement award for local blues musician Tomcat Courtney and an Industry Achievement award for Bob Taylor will be included in this year’s ceremony. Proceeds benefit the San Diego Music Foundation’s Guitars for Schools program, which has touched the lives of more than 45,000 students in over 75 schools across the county.
