For an appetizer, guests can select the 1% Carpaccio with seared tuna, lobster, uni, and shiitake mushroom with whisky barrel ponzu and grilled Japanese milk bread; the Truffle Chicken Karaage with nori furikake and truffle aioli; or opt for the Vegetable Pancake with Japanese sweet potato, Napa cabbage, scallions, and shaved truffles. Oceanside’s Blade 1936 is ringing in the New Year with dinner, drinks, and dancing. The restaurant, which is named for the historic Oceanside Blade-Tribune which occupied the space from 1936 to the 1960s, will feature a four-course pre-fixe menu, DJ, and a Champagne toast.
