San Diego Crew Classic

The 39th San Diego Crew Classic takes place March 30 to April 1 on Crown Point Shores on Mission Bay, and will feature many elite collegiate crew teams. Last year’s winning crews will return to compete for another title and the two coveted collegiate trophies, and 4,200 athletes from more than 125 universities, clubs, and high school programs from across the United States will participate in this premier rowing event. In addition, London 2012 Olympic hopefuls are also scheduled to row an exhibition. The event also offers a festival atmosphere with music, a trade show, the Karl Strauss Beer Garden on the sand, and food vendors. Headliner musical acts include Ozomatli and Eric Hutchinson. A new San Diego Zoo and Safari Park Family Festival area will cater to families looking for an affordable day on the bay with a kids’ zone and artist booths.
