On Saturday, March 19, the La Jolla Playhouse Gala returns to support the organization’s acclaimed Education and Outreach initiatives, as well as its New Play Development programs, such as Page To Stage, DNA New Work Series, the Without Walls program, and artist commissions. The glittering event, chaired once again by Debby and Hal Jacobs, will feature a special concert by Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist David Bryan, who won three 2010 Tony Awards for Best Score, Best Orchestrations, and Best Musical for the hit Broadway musical Memphis, which originated at La Jolla Playhouse.
