Support the breakthrough medicine and research being performed at the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center at UC San Diego Health. The 20th annual Heart of San Diego gala, taking place at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, will be chaired by Julie Buechler, MD, an alumna of the UC San Diego School of Medicine who completed her ER residency at UC San Diego Health, and her husband, Ken Buechler, a biochemist and co-founder of Biosite Inc. Ken collaborated with cardiologists at UC San Diego to develop a blood test to detect heart failure that is now in use worldwide. Proceeds will help UC San Diego Health usher in revolutionary new treatments and continue excelling as a leader of cardiovascular care, giving patients second chances at life. 858.246.1571, heartcentergala.org
