Furry Friends Hike
Furry Friends Hike
Nov. 19, 2016
Join other hikers and their dogs on Lake Hodges’ Piedras Pintadas trail on November 19 at 9am. Piedras pintadas, Spanish for “painted rocks,” pays tribute to the remarkable rock art created in the area by the Kumeyaay between 500 and 1,000 years ago. Along the trail, hikers can view a series of interpretive panels about the culture and resource management techniques of the semi-nomadic Kumeyaay. Attendance is free. Hikers are encouraged to bring pet food donations for Helen Woodward Animal Center. sdrvc.org
