Jake’s Del Mar’s 33nd Annual Beach Fun Run is set for Saturday, November 7. The relaxed 5k run/walk takes place on the beach in front of Jake’s, and each participant gets a T-shirt, healthy buffet lunch, beverages, entertainment, and tickets for the opportunity drawing after the race. Through the Jake’s Legacy of Aloha program, the proceeds from the Fun Run are donated to two organizations — Friends of the Power House, committed to helping ensure that the next generation respects and cares for our beaches and ocean, as well as one another; and La Colonia, a branch of the Boys and Girls Club of San Dieguito that serves over 100 elementary school kids and teens each week.
