Celebration of Second Chances

“Help Us Grow” is the theme of Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s Celebration of Second Chances, set to take place on Saturday, September 20, from 4:30-9pm, at the Del Mar Country Club. “In the 54 years since Rancho Coastal Humane Society was founded a community has grown around us,” says president Jim Silveira. “Our main building is still the house that was on the property in 1960. Our Humane Education Center was a barn. We’ve worked hard to meet the expanding needs that surround Rancho Coastal Humane Society. Now we’re asking our friends and neighbors to Help Us Grow.” Silveira adds, “Our Pet Adoption and Humane Education programs remain the cornerstones of Rancho Coastal Humane Society. We also serve the human and animal victims of domestic violence through our Animal Safehouse Program, we deliver unconditional love to those who need it most during our Pet Assisted Therapy visits, and our Community Pet Food Bank keeps people and their pets together.” VIP tickets at $275 include a cocktail reception and heavy hors d’oeuvres with Silveira and live music by jazz guitarist Peter Sprague starting at 4:30pm.
