What has become for many a longstanding tradition, Scripps Health will host its 89th annual Candlelight Ball to kick off the holiday season. This year’s event will benefit Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla’s newly-launched perinatology program, which helps to ensure the health and safety of the most vulnerable expectant mothers and their babies. The black-tie evening, which is expected to draw about 450 guests, will open at 6pm with a cocktail reception followed by dinner and dancing from 7:30-11pm, with live music provided by The Mighty Untouchables. scripps.org/candlelightball
