Bowl for the Cure

On July 19, from 12:30-3pm, Bowl for the Cure takes place at Mira Mesa Lanes to benefit Susan G. Komen San Diego. Money raised will provide free services to women for every step of their breast cancer journey, which includes education, outreach, free mammograms, financial and food assistance, transportation, and more. “Last year we were able to raise enough money to provide at least 20 mammograms and other diagnostic services for women in need,” says Laura Farmer Sherman, executive director of Komen San Diego. “This year we hope to double that number to make a significant difference in the lives of women living with breast cancer in the San Diego community and all while having a good time with friends and family.” Registration fees are $25 for adults; $15 for children 12 and under.
