The Berry Best Chocolate Fest takes place at Liberty Station from 12-6pm. Perfect for all ages, guest can sample and purchase delicious chocolate creations from some of San Diego’s best chocolatiers and dessert shops. There will also be a cupcake decorating station for the kids, a craft vendor village, food trucks, and a 21+ lounge featuring paired chocolate and cocktails. The fest also offers a chocolate pie-eating contest. Proceeds from the event help support Helen Woodward Animal Center. bbcfsd.com

Happy to help Helen Woodward Animal Center, but the event was a bit of a disappointment. Was expecting more free samples of chocolate and what we received for the $20 admission fee were long lines, a few unfriendly vendors and not so amazing chocolate samples. There were some awesome vendor there and one that impressed me was Slater’s 50/50. We will be visiting them soon for burgers and beer! Probably won’t go to the 2nd annual Berry Best Chocolate Fest though.
