Bayside Summer Nights

Bayside Summer Nights
June 29-September 2, 2018 | Embarcadero Marina Park South
This summer, the San Diego Symphony hosts an outdoor extravaganza beginning with “Star Spangled Pops,” a traditional and patriotic nod to America complete with an Armed Forces salute and fireworks. On July 4, the fireworks continue with country music legend Clint Black taking center stage. Following nights include performances featuring Megan Hilty, trumpet master Arturo Sandoval, ’80s pop star Rick Springfield, Marc Cohn and the Blind Boys of Alabama, Patti Labelle, Burt Bacharach, modern sax master Charles McPherson, composer Pablo Montero, Rogers Daltrey and members of The Who band, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, The Temptations & the Four Tops, the music of George Gershwin, and the grand finale with composer Sameer Patel. All of these performances enhance the season’s offerings, which also include San Diego Symphony’s jazz and Beethoven tributes as well as live scores of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Star Wars: A New Hope. sandiegosymphony.org Jacob Aere
