The Art Of Photography Show 2011

On view at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery from August 13-October 23, the Art of Photography Show 2011 is a world-class international exhibition of photographic art. One of the distinguishing characteristics of this competition and exhibition is that it always brings in a judge who is a highly-acclaimed museum curator. This year’s judge is Anne M. Lyden, Associate Curator, Department of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. The 2011 competition surpassed all expectations, attracting 15,444 entries from 72 countries. Award money and prizes totaling $10,000 will be given to artists in the Art of Photography Show 2011.

 

More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the Opening Reception Gala on Saturday, August 13. Enjoy live music, delectable hors d’oeuvres artfully crafted by Barry Layne of Coast Catering, wine by Kendall-Jackson, and Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky tasting by Balblair. In addition, an elegant 72-page show catalog will be given to everyone at the Opening Reception Gala and is made available for free at each special event during the exhibition.
