Symbolic Collection presents a new gallery in La Jolla at 7412 La Jolla Boulevard, highlighting its extraordinary collection from the worlds of underground art, pop culture, decorative and fine art, as well as music and entertainment memorabilia. A grand opening reception will take place on Thursday, August 19, from 6-8pm. Guests will enjoy wine from Montesquieu Wines and hors d’oeuvres. Please RSVP directly to ryan@symboliccollection.com.

Symbolic Collection features some of the rarest and heavily sought out works by R. Crumb, Robert Williams, Rick Griffin, Ronnie Wood (one of the largest collections of original drawings in the world), and Alfredo De La Maria. In addition to fine art, Symbolic Collection also features decorative art, including Asian sculpture, furniture, display, bronzes, jades, canes, porcelain, and more. Very soon Symbolic Collection will be announcing an exclusive art exhibition, featuring the works of Ronnie Wood and the Rolling Stones.

“Symbolic Collection has always enjoyed a passion for the unique,” notes Ryan Crowley, director of Symbolic Collection. “Whether you are a collector of fine art or memorabilia, you are likely to find something that appeals to your discerning taste among the diverse collectibles that we have available.”

Additional key collections include photographs by Dr. Jonathan Singer, acclaimed for his exquisite photographs of single blooms of the world’s rarest plants that became the components of a five-volume set of books inducted into the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History. Symbolic Collection will have a booth at Art San Diego Contemporary Art Fair, featuring Dr. Singer’s work (booth #35).

Also highlighted at the fine art gallery are Vintage Hollywood studio portraits from the 1920s, ’30s, and ’40s taken and printed in the golden age of American cinema by official photographers from: Warner Brothers, Paramount, M.G.M. and Columbia Pictures.

Symbolic Collection specializes in investment quality, luxury collectibles. It is one division of Symbolic World, which includes Symbolic Motors — the world’s leading purveyor of exotic and luxury automobiles, and Symbolic Watch — an International leader in the high-end, complicated watch and clock industry. In addition to the La Jolla gallery, Symbolic Collection also features a state-of-the-art gallery space in Sorrento Valley that showcases highlights from the fine art collection and is open for viewing by appointment only.
