Sage Grill Performer

Popular local guitarist and vocalist Todd Pyke will perform romantic and jazz guitar as well as favorite nostalgic vocal selections during brunch at the Sage Grill in Encinitas on Sundays in November from 11am-2pm. A native San Diegan, Pyke is a seasoned performer and guitar instructor who picked up the guitar at age six and has spent years in private guitar instruction and intense classical instruction. Currently he is working on a solo musical CD that will feature jazz tunes in addition to writing a method book for teaching guitar. Over the past 25 years, Pyke has appeared on MTV, won 11 guitar contests including Washburn’s Hottest Guitarist contest in Hollywood, done music for film and television, and performed all over the continental U.S. and abroad. In 1998, he founded the nonprofit organization the Encinitas School of Music, which thrived under his leadership. He officially stepped down from the Encinitas School of Music in 2006 to pursue composing, recording and performing live. The Sage Grill is located at 1506 Encinitas Boulevard in Encinitas.
