The San Diego Museum Council and Macy’s present half-off admissions at 40 San Diego County museums during the entire month of February. Simply head to a local Macy’s to pick up your free Museum Month pass, then enjoy the exciting displays, interactive programs, entertainment, and more at your favorite SD museums. USS Midway Museum: In honor of The Centennial of Naval Aviation, the aircraft carrier museum hosts a series of exhibitions depicting San Diego as the birthplace of naval aviation to the jet age and beyond. On February 12, view an aerial parade with approximately 200 vintage aircrafts.

Museum of Photographic Arts: The museum brings Imagine That!: Photographing an Invisible World, as an in-depth examination of the pursuit of photography to capture invisible worlds and unseeable phenomena.

Birch Aquarium: Birch Aquarium features the wonderful animals of the sea with Seahorses Alive, Hall of Fishes (60 tanks of Pacific fishes and invertebrates from the cold waters of the Pacific Northwest to the tropical waters of Mexico including a 70,000 gallon kelp forest), and Shark Reef (a 13,000-gallon tank devoted to species in tropical reef habitats including interpretive panels on shark biology and conservation).

San Diego Botanic Gardens: Enjoy sculptural creations by regional fine artists installed in the garden’s lush 36-acre setting. Talented artists will display a range of sculptures set against the beautiful backdrop of dragon trees, fruit gardens, bamboo grooves, and many more unique garden areas.
