Don’t have a cow if you’re out and about and you come across a bovine in public — CowParade is bringing its public exhibit of up to 50 life-sized cows to La Jolla from March 15 through June 15.
The fiberglass cows have been designed by local artists, and each has a corporate or individual sponsor. Following the public exhibit, the art pieces will be auctioned with proceeds earmarked for Rady Children’s Hospital and the Zoological Society of San Diego. CowParade has been held in 55 cities around the world since its inception in Chicago in 1999. More than 100 million people have attended CowParade events, which have raised more than $25 million for charitable groups. (www.cowparadelajolla.com) MIA STEFANKO
