Black White

Through January 17, Susan Street Fine Art Gallery presents Black White, an exhibition of mixed media works rendered in the pure palette of black and white. Deceptively simple and direct, the elegantly powerful compositions of Alfred Harris, Jerry Iverson, Greg Murr, Joshua Jensen-Nagle, and Jane Woolverton invite the viewer to engage in the diverse role of texture and depth and the appreciation of process and material. The sequencing of simple elements of shape, line, and form in the paintings of Harris and Murr provides a spatial poetry with an emphasis on surface detail.
