ArtFest

April 11-12, from 9am-5pm, San Diego Botanic Garden presents ArtFest, at which a juried fine art show will feature over 20 artists showing and selling their works including sculptors, painters, glass artists, potters, and gourd and fiber artists. A quick draw contest will feature 20 adult and 20 youth artists who will create an entire work of art right before participants’ eyes. An Asian art show will celebrate the art of Asian horticulture with outstanding displays of ikebana and bonsai, lectures, and a spectacular demonstration by the San Diego Taiko Drummers. Divine Fresh will serve delicious Greek food. Bob Ballentine and friends will perform native flute music with didgeridoos in the Lawn Garden. (760.436.3036, www.sdbgarden.org)
