Del Mar Village Association is spearheading and coordinating Fuel the Frontline San Diego, a program to support both local restaurants and San Diego frontline medical providers (Scripps Green, Scripps Carmel Valley, Scripps Rancho Bernardo, Scripps Encinitas, and UCSD Hillcrest). Donations to Fuel the Frontline San Diego have now exceeded $13,000. One-hundred percent of the proceeds fund the meals purchased from the local restaurants and the donations are tax deductible. So far the initiative has scheduled 2,500 meals to be delivered to the five hospitals from 11 local restaurants. Participating restaurants include Pacifica Del Mar, Americana Del Mar, En Fuego Cantina & Grill, Sbicca Del Mar, and many more. fuelthefrontlinesandiego.com
