Women Helping Women

Lorraine E. Fisher and Kelly Herz recently hosted their inaugural networking event for San Diego women-owned businesses at Laurel Restaurant & Bar. The chic restaurant’s owner, Tracy Borkum, graciously offered Laurel’s private dining room for the kick-off, which was attended by over 40 San Diego women with expertise in myriad fields. In addition, representatives from WBEC West (Women’s Business Enterprise Council) were on hand to answer questions about getting certified as a woman-owned business and how to make the most of that certification.
