The San Diego Police Foundation convened regional business and community leaders to elevate awareness of the importance of increased gender diversity in policing. The 14th annual Women in Blue Luncheon, themed “Kaleidoscope,” honored San Diego Police Department Detective Sergeant Brigitta Belz, Officer Torrie Albini, and Associate Management Analyst Martha Carranza. This year’s theme celebrated the multifaceted impact of women in public safety as they build trust, create connections, and strengthen communities. The San Diego Police Foundation supports SDPD’s peer mentoring program and the Women’s Leadership Conference, efforts to recruit more females to the ranks of SDPD, and scholarships to empower rising female officers and inspire the next generation of women in blue.
