The Old Globe held its annual gala under the stars at the Globe’s Copley Plaza and Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Themed “Drama Resides Here,” the gala was an unforgettable evening of dramatic surprises that delighted the senses. Reprising their roles as co-chairs were Globe board members Jennifer Greenfield and Sheryl White, with Darlene Marcos Shiley serving as honorary gala chair. The black-tie event featured signature sips by Snake Oil Cocktail Company, a special presentation by Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, and fabulous entertainment by Broadway star Joshua Henry (Broadway’s Into the Woods, Carousel, The Scottsboro Boys, U.S. tour of Hamilton). After the performance, guests indulged in dinner catered by the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine and dancing to the music of Lovestoned. Proceeds raised benefit The Old Globe’s nationally recognized arts engagement and artistic programs.
