More than 400 people tuned in from their homes to support Komen San Diego’s mission to save lives and invest in research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Attendees enjoyed live music from electric violinist Spags and Encore Entertainment, watched a one-of-a-kind art piece being made by local artist Clare Marie, and bid on spectacular auction items. Supporters also heard inspiring stories from local breast cancer patients during a Q & A with Dr. Thomas Buchholz, medical director of Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center, and honored 25 people who have helped the organization make a difference in the fight against breast cancer in San Diego during the past 25 years. The event raised approximately $128,000.
