Las  Patronas held its 79th Annual Jewel Ball, “Back En Pointe,” at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. This year’s celebration drew inspiration from the elegance of Paris and the timeless artistry of ballet, transforming the venue into a grand tribute to the Palais Garnier. Guests stepped into the pool courtyard, where champagne flowed, hors d’oeuvres delighted, and the Aquabatix American Synchronized Swimming Team provided captivating entertainment. In the ballroom, opulent chandeliers glittered beneath stunning replicas of the Palais Garnier’s iconic ceiling frescoes. The décor was crafted by Las Patronas members during a year of creative preparation.

Chaired by Katherine Emmert- Kozo, the event featured French cuisine from Behind the Scenes Catering and Events, a ballet performance by Golden State Ballet Company, and music from Wayne Foster Entertainment. “Our volunteer members dedicate a full year to fundraising and building something beautiful, knowing every detail contributes to real change across our community,” said Las Patronas President Rowena Treitler. Proceeds raised will fund critically needed capital items for six nonprofit major beneficiaries, each receiving more than $30,000, as well as more than 40 minor beneficiaries across San Diego County, each receiving up to $20,000.
