Helen Woodward Animal Center’s elegant Spring Fling Gala, presented by Portia Metras Realtor Coldwell Banker, also celebrated another special anniversary — the 50th year since the center’s founding. The gala highlighted the landmark in its theme, “The Golden Age of Hollywood,” which was headed by committee co-chairs Jamie Carr and Mary Russo-Cuzens and was emceed by KUSI’s Mark Mathis. Guests strolled through Tinsel Town streets complete with classic character impersonators, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction of exquisite one-of-a-kind items. Committee restaurant chair Ann Dizney secured an impressive restaurant lineup including Dolce, Beeside Balcony, The Fish Market, and Poseidon, to name a few. Following dinner, guests delighted in sweet treats, a rousing live auction, and live entertainment by Haute Chili.
