Stay cool by the pool or race track in fashionable Panama hats handwoven in Ecuador. Artisans there carry on the centuries-old craft of toquilla weaving, transforming palm straw into beautiful hats. Argentinian sisters Julieta and Florencia Gomez Gerbi discovered the tradition while on a surf trip in Ecuador. They founded Greenpacha, which means “Green Times,” to preserve the practice and support its artisans. greenpacha.com Andrea Naversen
