So how do “mom-and-pop” furniture stores and boutiques compete with “the bigs” — the online behemoths and big box stores — when it comes to marketing and selling their products to the public? Enter Design Kollective, an online marketplace offering diverse and cutting-edge indoor and outdoor furniture and accessories from more than 100 brick-and-mortar shops around the country and right here in San Diego including Form and Function, Love and Aesthetics, Nativa Interiors, We R Home, and Skylar’s Home and Patio. Design Kollective provides an online space for smaller retailers to reach more customers, sell in-stock inventory, host flash sales, and create their own online boutiques. It’s the brainchild of CEO Lynsey Humphrey, whose family has made a name for itself in the furniture and interior design industry under the brand of Alder & Tweed.
