Artist Theresa Seidel is well known for her gorgeous vintage glass and ceramic bottles topped with crosses fashioned from crystal, and studded with stones. Perfect for summer decorating is her sea life collection of bottles embellished with starfish, sea fans, and coral, available locally at Bella Castilla in Del Mar.

Seidel, whose father taught her how to weld and solder, used those skills to craft bottles with her young sons as Christmas gifts for friends and family. Her hobby turned into a lucrative business after a visit to L.A.’s gift show where the bottles were a hit.
