Spend the night aboard the Star of India with this immersive family sailing experience
The Maritime Museum’s overnight adventure lets guests explore hidden areas, hoist sails, and sleep aboard the world’s oldest active sailing ship

Embark on a voyage of the imagination with an overnight stay on the world’s oldest active sailing ship with the Star of India Family Overnight Experience. Three opportunities this summer, on June 27,
July 25, and August 8, invite participants to sign on as “crew” to experience what a sailor’s life was like during the Great Age of Sail. Held dockside at the Maritime Museum along the San Diego waterfront, guests of the overnight adventure will see areas of the ship normally closed to the public, learn various activities such as moving cargo and raising the ship’s sails, and sleep on her “tween decks,” out of the elements. This limited opportunity includes dinner and breakfast, and is open to participants ages 6 and up. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. sdmaritime.org
