The San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame will host its 20th annual induction ceremony to honor six outstanding women.

  1. LGBT rights activist Susan K. Jester
  2. Criminal justice advocate Geneviéve Jones-Wright
  3. The Honorable Judge Randa Trapp
  4. Historian Dr. Rosalie Schwartz
  5. President and CEO of the Union of Pan Asian Communities Margaret Iwanaga-Penrose
  6. Famed French/San Diego artist Niki de Saint Phalle

Every year, nominations to the Hall of Fame are reviewed by the selection committee of individuals from the Women’s Museum of California, San Diego State University’s Department of Women’s Studies, Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, UC San Diego’s Women’s Center, and other women’s organizations. Since the first Hall of Fame event at UC San Diego in 2001, more than 100 inductees have been honored. Funds raised are donated to the Women’s Museum of California, the home of the Hall of Fame.
