“Women With Vision” Virtual Event

Soroptimist International of San Diego will host a virtual luncheon, awards ceremony, and entertainment to honor the Soroptimist “Live Your Dream” award recipients of cash grants to female heads of household.
The Soroptimist Live Your Dream: Education & Training awards provide women who are the financial support for their families with resources to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects so that they can live their dreams. The event, chaired by Monica Logan, will feature pre-event entertainment and the awards ceremony at 12pm, followed by a live virtual theatrical fashion show presented by Gretchen Productions featuring local boutiques at 1pm. Socially distanced watch parties with catered lunches will be held throughout the county. The emcees for the event are Rory Devine of NBC San Diego and TV Personality Geni Cavitt. Honorary chair is Anna Curren.

Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Founded in 1931, Soroptimist International of San Diego is one of San Diego’s oldest service clubs. Projects include annual educational grants for women, support for the female residents of a local sober-living home, public awareness in the fight against human trafficking in San Diego, and maintaining a carpet school in Turkey for impoverished women and Syrian refugees.
