San Diego Jewish Arts Festival
The 28th Annual Lipinsky Family San Diego Jewish Arts Festival continues. While it is in a mostly virtual format, the beauty of it is the larger size and the increased international flavor.
Some of the offerings this month include Perla Batalla: Songs of Love & Protest, which celebrates the music of Leonard Cohen and Pete Seeger; Isaac Asimov: Grand Master Funk, a new play by Herbert Siguenza about the renowned science fiction writer being visited by a robot requesting Asimov write a final piece that will serve to save humans from extinction; In Every Generation, which captures Jewish family discussions about big questions at annual Passover dinners through the years; and Elon Gold’s I Do Mean to Complain, which showcases the stand-up comedian at a donor-funded event.
