Rio Carnival: A Samba Soirée

Meals on Wheels San Diego County is getting ready to dance the night away at its “Rio Carnival: A Samba Soirée’’ gala to raise funds to continue its mission of delivering nutritious meals and emotional support to thousands of seniors and disabled veterans, seven days a week, rain or shine.

Starting at 5:30pm, the evening will begin with a silent auction and reception featuring the audience-favorite Chef Appetizer Showcase. This year’s chefs will include Chef Drew Deckman of Deckman’s en al Mogor, Chef Brad Wise of Trust Restaurant Group, Chef John King of The Prado Restaurant, and more. Following the reception will be a three-course sit-down dinner and live auction. Event proceeds will help fund much-needed nutritious meals for the organization’s 4,300 seniors and disabled veteran clients.
