Polar Plunge

Make-A-Wish San Diego is diving into the New Year with purpose.

The organization will host its first-ever Polar Plunge from 9am to 12pm, inviting participants to be “Freezin’ for a Reason” — all to help grant life-changing wishes for local children battling critical illnesses. More than 150 participants are expected to brave the chilly waters in Mission Bay to raise awareness and funds for Make-A-Wish San Diego. “Every splash brings hope to a child dealing with illness,” says Suzanne Husby, CEO of Make-A-Wish San Diego. “It’s a great way to start the year — surrounded by community and supporting wishes for local kids facing unimaginable challenges.” After the plunge, guests can warm up at the Après-Plunge Celebration, featuring hot cocoa, treats, and a 21+ bar for adult participants.
