Oasis Black & Gold “Forever Young” Gala

San Diego Oasis, a California nonprofit dedicated to successful aging for +50 San Diegans, is hosting its first Oasis Black & Gold “Forever Young” fundraising gala at its Rancho Bernardo activity and community service hub.

A cocktail reception featuring a “Forever Young” signature cocktail, wines, and a silent auction will start the event. A sit-down gourmet dinner, dessert and coffee bar, catered by Ranch Events will follow, culminating with a live auction and fundraising presentation. DJ and sax player Aaron Valencia will spice up the evening and welcome our guests to the dance floor. Fundraising emphasis will focus on two Oasis programs with broadest community impact: Intergenerational Tutoring, which offers weekly tutoring by Oasis-trained senior volunteers for Title 1 elementary school children who have fallen behind in basic skills, and Bridging the Digital Divide, which offers time with a tablet and an Oasis coach for isolated seniors. Each year, Oasis offers over 4,500 classes and community service programs at their state-of-the-art activity centers. Topics range from fitness, dance, music, languages, nutrition and cooking to technology, lifestyle, group travel, and community service programs. These are guided by highly qualified instructors and lecturers, many of whom volunteer their time and talent.
