Nearly 350 food enthusiasts and community supporters will gather to attend Casa de Amparo’s 26th Annual Meet the Chefs.
The popular event raises over $150,000 annually to benefit Casa de Amparo’s programs that serve foster youth in San Diego County. “Every child deserves a safe and nurturing home free from abuse and neglect. Meet the Chefs is a powerful demonstration of how our community can unite to create a positive impact in the lives of children who have suffered through unimaginable trauma,” says Mike Barnett, CEO of Casa de Amparo. “Through the remarkable efforts of local chefs, community members, volunteers, and staff, we can make a meaningful difference and give these children the hope and support they need to heal and thrive.” Guests can enjoy unlimited samples of signature tastings crafted by chefs from premier local restaurants, along with complimentary wine, beer, and champagne. Participating restaurants and chefs include: Chef Mary Platis from Ethos Culinary, CoastalKITCHEN at the Hilton Del Mar, D’liteful Chocolat, Dolce, Food By Chef Ty, Lutchi and Mary, Pamplemousse Grille, The Privateer Coal Fire Pizza, Tommy V’s Urban Kitchen, and Vista Valley Country Club. A VIP reception will be held from 12:30–1:30pm and the main event takes place from 1:30–4pm. Tickets are available for $150 for general admission or $250 for VIP access.
