Who was Tamara de Lempicka? She was well known during the Art Deco era, achieving fame for her portraits of jazz-era culture, but also for her daring lifestyle.

She lived on her own terms, challenging the mores of her time.  Now, La Jolla Playhouse is presenting a new musical based on this modern icon. From the Russian Revolution to Bohemian Paris, follow the life of Lempicka, a woman caught between two worlds. Directed by Broadway Hadestown production Tony Award winner Rachel Chavkin, with book and lyrics written by Carson Kreitzer, music by Matt Gould, and choreography by Raja Feather Kelly, Lempicka is an exciting project that has set its sights on Broadway.
