Co-chaired by longtime supporters Gail and Ralph Bryan, the La Jolla Playhouse Gala begins with a cocktail reception in the Joan & Irwin Jacobs Theatre District, followed by an intimate dinner staged inside the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

The evening’s entertainment will feature a special performance by two-time Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell, with an additional appearance by acclaimed singer/songwriter MILCK, sharing music from her upcoming musical The Family Album. Proceeds support the Playhouse’s groundbreaking New Play Development and Learning and Engagement programs. The 2026 Gala will also honor the legacy of outgoing Artistic Director Christopher Ashley while officially welcoming newly appointed Artistic Director Jessica Stone.
